St. Amant, LA Children's Photographer - Cannon Pool Part

So, we planned for a swimsuit/pool party styled session for the Cannon Kiddos to match their upcoming birthday celebration.  The initial plan was for backlit sun in the golden hour and water spraying fun times with popsicles and props.  In true LA fashion, the weather was gloom and doom.  It was hotter than Haiti and the mosquitos were about to carry us off.  But once we knocked out a few outfit images, my cousin had gone to target literally minutes before this session to pick up this pool and by golly we were going to use it.  Our littlest participant was NOT in the picture taking mood at all that afternoon and we like to never have gotten the bribe sucker or sippy cup out of her hands but bring out a regular ole grass watering sprinkler and all bets were off.  I don't remember ever seeing a 2 year old this happy!  ;)  My best advice during a shoot that wasn't starting as planned is to KEEP shooting.  Document life as it's happening.  I know I always end up with some favs and lots of memories to cherish.  Here's L, M & M Cannon soakin' up the end of summer with a little retro vibe.
