St. Amant, LA Bride & Groom Photography - The Guidry's Houmas House Session

I've been waiting to post these for quite some time and today is the perfect day.  Today is Chris & Shae Guidry's 8th Wedding Anniversary.  This session was done back on March 8, 2022 before I was back to photography full-time, however, Shae is a former client and she asked me if I would consider doing these for her.  She gave me the details and said she wanted to do them at the Houmas House, which is one of my most favorite locations to shoot at, so my answer was of course! 

This session was super special because they never had a "first look" or wedding, so it was a surprise for her husband.  The look on his face when he turned around and saw her there on the lawn was priceless.  The dress she wore was supposed to be worn by her mother who had wedding plans that had to be altered due to Covid.  What a way to put it to good use!  Gorgeous gown on a gorgeous girl.  

Even though wedding photography is not something that I do anymore, I still absolutely love doing bridal portraiture and now we can just go ahead and add anniversary or after wedding first look type of photos to my list of favs.   

I'm glad she trusted me to make these memories for her family.  They have 4 beautiful children that I know they will be so happy to see these beautiful images on the walls of their home.
